The key to recovery
Genetic Testing for Mold Recovery
Detox only works
when it matches your body’s unique wiring
So what is the answer?
“Imagine this . . .”
You’re in California.
Your health? It’s in Italy.
There are no road signs. No maps.
No GPS. You don’t even know
what vehicle you’re driving.
You hit dead ends. Put diesel in a Prius.
Waste time, energy, and money on routes
that take you further off course.
This is mold recovery…
when you don’t understand your own unique biology.
Your DNA holds the key
When we use your
genetic map
We stop guessing
& start navigating . . .
And finally . . .
You begin to move forward.
DNA Changes Everything
Your DNA provides a map of how your body works, what it needs, and why it struggles.
These are some of the surprising ways DNA can flip the script:
-
Miracle supplement made you worse
Certain gene patterns block folic acid. Instead of helping, it builds up, slows things down, and knocks you flat.
-
You took a binder and got worse.
Do you know which binder is best for you? Certain genetic combinations can cause binders to recycle toxins throughout your body instead of removing them.
-
Slowed Methylation
Folic acid, found in most multi-vitamins, can block your methylation pathways if you have this mutation. It’s not harmless—it’s a roadblock.
-
Soothing Dextox -or- Toxic Overload?
For people with certain gene mutations, garlic, onions, Epsom salt baths, and even the popular NAC detox supplement can make symptoms worse—not better, causing headaches, irritability, racing thoughts, tight chest, and crashing fatigue.
-
Amazing for some - a disaster for others
For some gene patterns:
Fat metabolism is compromised
Ammonia builds up with excess protein
Methylation suffers without leafy greens and B vitamins

Ready to find out what your body’s been trying to tell you?
As a certified Functional DNA Consultant, my approach is highly customized. I use your DNA from one simple test to understand:
How your body detoxes — and where things get stuck
Which detox pathways are sluggish, overloaded, or bypassed
Which supports will help — and which ones can cause harm
What system needs support first — gut, brain, hormones, or something else
How to build a customized recovery plan that supports your body’s exact needs
You don’t need a miracle
You need the right map — and someone to walk beside you
DNA & Testing FAQs
Answers to some very common questions
-
The DNA test typically costs $99. I often have a special coupon code that can bring the price down to $29-$59. If a coupon is currently available, I will provide a code during our initial meeting.
-
No. You do not need a doctor’s order. You simply fill out a registration form and the testing kit will be sent directly to you.
-
I chose AncestryDNA for DNA collection and testing in an effort to make this process as easy and cost-effective as possible for my clients. DNA testing through AncestryDNA does not require doctors’ orders and typically costs less than $100. In comparison, other DNA testing labs usually charge $400-900 for the same raw data.
-
Possibly. Most DNA tests do not interpret each and every component necessary to determine the best approach for mold recovery. If you’ve already done a test with AncestryDNA or 23andMe, I will likely be able to use that raw data file. If you had a different DNA test, my ability to use those results will depend on the format of the raw data provided.
-
Absolutely! You can register and submit your test with any name that you choose.
-
You can easily delete your own AncestryDNA results at any time. Deleting your DNA results is permanent.
-
AncestryDNA provides broad, generalized reports that focus on heritage. I am able to extract information from the raw DNA data that relates directly to your health concerns, detox ability, and environmental resilience, and use this information to create your customized plan.
-
I completely understand. I would not be comfortable with that either. Please rest assured that I will not have access to your AncestryDNA account. The raw data file sent to me remains zipped while analyzed by the results engine. No personal identifying information is attached, and your submitted file is automatically deleted within 2 hours.
-
It typically takes about 4 weeks to receive the results, but that doesn’t mean that your healing will be on hold. After our initial meeting, I will provide you with important, initial steps for healing. Once these steps are completed, your results should be in!
-
I only review your raw data file. This means I see a list of your genetic markers — not your family tree, photos, personal messages, or any other private account information.
-
That’s a smart question. Unlike 23andMe, AncestryDNA has an entirely different client agreement. The company also provides the ability to easily delete your DNA data at any time.
-
I do not store, sell, or share your DNA file. Once I’ve completed your analysis and you’ve received your report, your file is securely deleted automatically.
-
No. Your privacy and trust are of the utmost importance. I do not sell or share any personal information, including your test results.
-
I do not extract this information. I focus on functional genetics — understanding how your body processes nutrients, toxins, and stress. My services do not include predicting or diagnosing diseases.
